Janet O’Neil is a Professor of Graphic Design and the Director of the Graphic Design Program in the Fairleigh Dickinson University School of the Arts. Janet has employed her artistic skills as an art director, animator, graphic designer, web designer, and illustrator. She is currently illustrating several books; one a children’s book about bugs, and the other a book on how hiking helps to heal loss. Janet loves to experiment with digital tools, oils, watercolors, and acrylics to create mixed media artwork. Janet has painted over 100 animal portraits for many rescues and shelters, bringing attention to animal welfare issues around the world. She is an avid hiker in the Delaware Water Gap area and teaches fitness at the West Morris Area YMCA in Randolph, as well as seasonal cycling classes at Minerals Resort in Vernon, New Jersey.
